Lemonade Collective – Master Coach Criteria Checklist
A coach may be considered for Master Coach status when they meet the following criteria:
Education & Certifications
Holds a primary personal trainer certification (e.g., CanFit, NASM, ACE, ISSA)
Advanced certifications in multiple areas beyond primary PT credential (ideally 3–5):
Strength systems (Powerlifting, Olympic Lifting, Hypertrophy)
Functional mobility / movement (FRT, FMT, Agatsu)
Specialized populations (e.g., Pre/Postnatal, Stress Resilience, Nutrition)
Nutrition and wellness knowledge: Master Coaches may advise clients on lifestyle factors beyond training. While some of this is included under specialized populations, it should be explicitly recognized as a distinct area of expertise.
Continues to pursue ongoing education in fitness and wellness
Experience
Approximately 10+ years coaching experience including both one-on-one and group settings.
Experience working with diverse populations (beginners, advanced, special populations)
Demonstrated measurable client results (strength, body composition, performance improvements)
Practical Expertise
Skilled in program design and progression across multiple training modalities
Able to adapt programming for individual client needs
Competent in movement assessment and analysis
Ability to educate clients on safe technique and recovery strategies
Ability to modify sessions for injury prevention or rehabilitation
Leadership & Mentorship
Provides mentorship and guidance to other coaches
Acts as a role model for professionalism and growth mindset
Contributes to team culture and educational development
Supports the growth of other coaches through training, feedback, and collaborative problem-solving.
Demonstrates commitment to community and client engagement, serving as a positive ambassador for Lemonade Collective and inspiring others both inside and outside of the gym.
