You’re Not Just Swimming in Water… You’re Swimming in Whatever Came Off the Last Person.

Let’s talk about why that pre-pool shower matters more than you think.

We know it sounds gross—but it’s true. Without a proper soap shower before hitting the pool, sweat, lotions, deodorant, body oils, and even microscopic poop particles (yep!) wash off into the water… and stick around for everyone else to share.

That means when you skip the soap, you’re not just cutting corners—you’re changing the chemistry of the water we all swim in.

Why Should You Shower with Soap Before Swimming?

1. You Help Keep the Pool Sparkling (Not Swampy)
Our pool system is designed to stay clean—but it works best when we all do our part. Washing with soap removes invisible gunk from your body before it hits the water.

2. Less Soap, More Chlorine? Not Quite.
When we skip soap, the chlorine in the pool works overtime trying to disinfect all that “extra.” That means more chlorine smell, eye irritation, and potential skin sensitivity for everyone.

3. You Protect the Community
Showering with soap helps stop the spread of bacteria and waterborne germs that can cause rashes, stomach bugs, or fungal infections. No one wants to take home more than their towel.

4. It’s a Respect Thing
You wouldn’t want to swim through someone else’s body spray or body funk. So let’s not make anyone else do it either. It’s quick. It’s easy. And it’s the right thing to do.

Let’s Keep the Pool Clean and Safe

A quick soap-up = a better swim for everyone.
Whether you’re here for laps, playtime, or just a relaxing float, a clean start makes a world of difference.

Thanks for doing your part to keep the Lemonade Collective pool fresh, fun, and free of funk.
